However, to get back to the garden wall: I became alarmed at the number of times some Human would try to pull me off the wall – I am quite handsome, if I say so myself. But I suspect their intentions are not related to my fine feline figure. I heard so many stories of cat persons ending up as experiments in laboratories, or being dumped alive in wheely-bins – or worse. So I now simply look out of the window, when I can persuade The Carers to raise the blinds. They seem to have an obsessive aversion to Humans looking in; but I like to see what’s going on in the neighbourhood. So I would be the numero uno neighbourhood gossip, except that no one bothers to ask my opinion. One of The Carers describes the Human gossips in the street as members of the Cuban Comité de Defensa de la Revolución, which, I assure you, is not very flattering. So I keep my head down and keep schtum – but I could tell you a thing or two about…
